Leyamma Memorial College of Nursing, established in memory of Late Ms. Leyamma, sister of Late Sri. P.C George, Founder of Mundakapadam Mandirams Society, is a State of Art Centre for Nursing Education conducting B.Sc. Nursing program. The institution was running ANM program till 1968 and upgraded to General Nursing and Midwifery program in 1969 and trained efficient nurse professionals who are providing competent services in national and international agencies of health care all over the world. Now it is upgraded to B Sc. Nursing Program from the year 2022.
The parent hospital of the nursing college is Mundakapadam Mandiram Hospital, Manganam P O, Kottayam, began as a rural dispensary in 1943 and later the dispensary extended its services to the larger community and developed in to a Multi- Speciality Charity Hospital under Mundakapadam Mandirams Society. Over the last 79 years, Mandiram Hospital has become one of the best General Hospital in kerala with Multi- Speciality services including psychiatric care. It is an NABH accredited (Entry Level) hospital providing excellent quality care services with affordable cost to the community.
Leyamma Memorial College of Nursing and Hostel are situated within the campus of Mandiram Hospital.

In 1943, Shri P. C. George and his friends started Mandiram Hospital as a dispensary for the local community and the inmates of Agathi Mandiram.
Many deaths due to cholera and typhoid during late 1930s and early 1940s in Manganam and surrounding areas compelled them to open this hospital.

Over the years, Mandiram Hospital has grown into a multispeciality general hospital with more than 20 departments.
Mandiram Hospital works in a not-for-profit mode. Hospital’s growth is attributed to selfless work and generous contribution of individuals, families, organisations and beneficiaries.
